My dear friend Tony pointed me to this NYTimes article on Ted Kennedy. As Tony said, it’s a deeply moving piece—kudos to the writer, Mark Leibovich. For me, it was an inspiring read about how one can ‘be’ in the end. We’ll all have that one day—our own end.

Hema - Dutch Department Store →
Let’s see. Does viral media work? Indeed, it does: ten minutes ago, I’d never heard of this store, HEMA, in the Netherlands. I got this via an email from a friend, and the site is not even in English. It’s getting passed around via emails and posts like this one. Just click on the title here which is a link—the page will do its thing.

[Thx 2 @michelletripp for tripping me out on this!]. Exponential Times does mean [per Intel] ‘Tomorrow is a strange and exciting place.’
“Because of technology, it no longer requires a corporation to launch … ubiquitous innovations. Silos and vertical structures are out.”

On my way into work at the Starrett-Lehigh office building in NY, FIOS has opened a pop-shop. I love the tagline on the freebie baseball cap
The FIOS tagline on the bb cap? ‘Bringers of Awesome’.

I am liking the #copywriting in the Intel banners/web ads: “Tomorrow is a strange and amazing place.” and, “Today is so yesterday.”

Taxonomies →
New York Times article about the ordering and naming of life, taxonomy. What I found most interesting was the bit about how they hypothesize that the temporal lobe might be a specific part of the brain that is devoted to the ‘doing of taxonomy’.
