Moving Piece in NYT on Ted Kennedy's Final Days →
My dear friend Tony pointed me to this NYTimes article on Ted Kennedy. As Tony said, it’s a deeply moving piece—kudos to the writer, Mark Leibovich. For me, it was an inspiring read about how one can ‘be’ in the end. We’ll all have that one day—our own end.

Start.io OMG Love This →
A customizable start page engine. Introduced in the spring of 2009, I can’t believe this didn’t exist before then because it’s such a no-brainer. Start.io is a customizable homepage. It holds all of your most used links so you can get to them quickly from wherever you are—meaning, it’s a moveable feast: use it at home, use it at work. Sold.

Hema - Dutch Department Store  →
Let’s see. Does viral media work? Indeed, it does: ten minutes ago, I’d never heard of this store, HEMA, in the Netherlands. I got this via an email from a friend, and the site is not even in English. It’s getting passed around via emails and posts like this one. Just click on the title here which is a link—the page will do its thing.

Taxonomies →
New York Times article about the ordering and naming of life, taxonomy. What I found most interesting was the bit about how they hypothesize that the temporal lobe might be a specific part of the brain that is devoted to the ‘doing of taxonomy’.
